Liebherr Rental revs up for a roaring 2022
Liebherr GB is revving up its Rental operation as it anticipates a busy year ahead – an order is on the books for delivery in 2022 of over 60 new machines to add to its already sizable fleet.
The investment of £20million will see a sizeable increase in its Generation 8 excavator fleet, with various models ranging from 22 up to 70 tonnes, Generation 8 dozers, TA 230 ADT’s, wheel loaders and material handlers. Additionally, there will be some new models which do not currently feature on the fleet – namely the A 914, LH 18 and R 938.
Joe Palmer, General Manager of Rental & Used Equipment at Liebherr GB, comments:
“This £20 million investment reflects Liebherr Rental’s commitment to provide our customers, both current and future, with a modern fleet designed to meet their every need. The new-look fleet will feature several new models to increase our already extensive offering of world class Liebherr machinery.”
The tracked excavator fleet will be expanded by adding the R 938 (40 tonne) model as well as increasing the number of R 922, R 930, R 934, R 945, R 956 and R 966 models. Machines from Generation 8 R 922 to R 945 will all be delivered Leica GPS ready as the relationship between Liebherr and Leica Geosystems continues to flourish. These machines are ideal for civil engineering and earthmoving projects with both the R 938 & R 945 suitable for quarrying work as well. An A 914 compact has also been ordered which will no doubt appeal for roadworks and civils.
Yet more Generation 8 PR 726, PR 736, PR 746, PR 756 & PR 766 bulldozers have been ordered as the number of dozers on the Liebherr Rental fleet are significantly ramped up. PR 726 – PR 736 have all been ordered with an LGP undercarriage so perfect for earthmoving and civils projects. The PR 756 and PR 766 have also been fitted with single shank rippers.
For the first time ever, Liebherr GB will be offering the newly launched L 509 Tele wheel loader to the rental market, suitable for waste applications and small concrete plants. A number of L 518, L 526, L 538 and L 546 models will be available with a mix of waste specification configurations (such as solid tyres, hi-tip buckets, additional protection) and others in standard aggregate specification. Machines from the full XPower range of wheel loaders will be arriving with some L 550’s & L 556’s in a waste specification. All wheel loaders from the L 526 upwards will be fitted with the Liebherr Assistance Systems including Personnel Detection System (rear), 360 camera, tyre pressure monitoring (except those on solid tyres) and the Liebherr weigh device.
The number of Liebherr TA 230 articulated dumptrucks on the fleet is on the increase too. All will be fitted with wide, flotation tyres, full tailgate and Liebherr weighload indicator making them ideal for earthmoving projects.
New LH 22 M & LH 24 M models have been ordered in waste specification with SG 25 sorting grabs.
The LH 30 M & LH 40 M will arrive all fitted with generators and available with either 5 tine or clamshell grab as well as a magnet making them suited to scrap metal and/or aggregate rehandling. For the first time, Liebherr Rental will have LH 18 M’s available for hire.
