The new R 945 (Stage V) crawler excavator replaces the previous R 950 SME (Stage IV). In order to provide even greater comfort, better ergonomics and more enhanced performance, the architecture of the R 945 has been completely revamped.
In 2020, Liebherr and Leica Geosystems announced a global partnership to offer guidance systems. The R 945 is Leica MC1 machine control ready and the cab kit can be hired from any of Leica Geosystems' authorised providers.
